It is time to get this show on the road, and when I say that I mean start drumming up some business. I spent the most part of February in the hospital. I was on life support for three days and almost lost my life due to terminal congestive heart failure and full renal failure. It just hit me in the face all at once. When you go through something like that, it makes you realize just how short your life can be. With that being said, yes, it is time to do as much as I can, for the doctors say I only have six months to a year to live. I will beat this. If the Lord wanted me, he could have taken me that night. But, I am still here, and I do feel time is getting short. Maybe that is why He took Drew so fast. Drew would not be able to handle the loss of his mother.
So now I am working really hard on projects to sell, and things to leave the children when I am gone. Since I haven't been able to work, I have been at least keeping busy. But, now it is time to get moving. I need to spin more fiber, (can't wait to get my bigger spinner from Pam). I need to make things, all kinds of things. Crocheted items, do some quilting, jewelry making and what ever else I can think of. Thank God for giving us such talents to fall back on.
I want to make the 23rd. Psalm shawl and the bracelet to match, like the one shown below. It goes as;
The Lord is my shepherd (white): I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green (green) pastures: He leadeth me beside still waters (blue) He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness (clear); I used a sparkle of, off white here for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death (black), I will fear no evil: (The Holy Bible) so on and so forth. Each bead will match the color of the shawl, this would be a beautiful keepsake for anyone, I think. And, I have the copy write on this one. I can't wait to finish it which will be in the middle of June, after our first show.
Then I want to explain why and how I named my business what it is, not just because I have a deceased son with that name, but I tracked down the person who created the crochet stitch called "Andrews Keepsake" to get permission to use the name. I will have pictures of how it goes in the future posts. It can be done in traditional crochet and Tunisian. Until then, may God keep you in the palm of his hand.
